Our History
Tarey Eliz, the creative force behind Vegan-Beets, embarked on a culinary journey at the age of 7, cooking alongside her father Hezekiah Beckwith (pictured to the left) This early exposure ignited a passion for catering & creating delightful southern dishes. In 2014, Tarey founded Under Confection, specializing in unique cupcakes, later expanding to custom cakes. In 2016, where she then merged both ventures, establishing Tarey’s Catering, a precursor to the 2021 rebrand as Vegan-Beets. Tarey’s shift to veganism in 2019, initially for health, evolved into an ethical commitment, shaping the foundation of Vegan-Beets plant based cuisine.
Our Menu
Our menu features a wide range of vegan dishes, inspired by many cultures and styles. Such as soul food classics, Italian, Jamaican, Ethiopian, Thai & Chinese. We use only the freshest, locally-sourced ingredients to create our dishes, and we offer options for all dietary preferences.

Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who share a passion for plant-based eating and sustainability. We're committed to providing excellent service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all of our customers.
How we work!
Currently we operate as a Pop-Up shop on the weekends at this time. Chef Tarey, is a full time chef during the week but still wanted to find away to share her culinary passion for food with YOU! Preorders and payment is due 3 days prior to pick up and/or delivery. We do this to ensure your meal is freshly made and always available plus we’re not wasting product and ingredients. We promise you it will be worth the wait!
